Abaca’s Global 3000 accounting functionality goes way beyond statutory reporting. That’s because business today demands multi-dimensional analysis of revenues, costs, cash flow, and assets – down to any level of detail. Global 3000 offers full multi-company and multi-currency processing, with unlimited profit centres and the option to retain as much historical data as you require. The combination of extensive built-in analysis functions and easy data exchange with industry standard tools makes for a uniquely powerful management reporting system.

  • General Ledger caters perfectly for companies with highly individual management accounting needs.
  • Debtors Ledger maintains accurate control of your customer transactions and works with Packaging 3000 to provide real time credit and terms checking.
  • Creditors Ledger maintains accurate control of your supplier transactions and works with Packaging 3000. The module includes full payment facilities and banking integration.
  • Cash Manager provides a simple reconciliation between the accounting ledgers and your bank statements. A must have for the new HMRC make tax digital requirements.

Electronic Document Management

Our electronic document generation system creates digitally encrypted, tamper-proof Adobe documents which can be sent by EDI, emailed, or printed as required. Copies are not required as the system automatically files every instance of every generation of a document for simple retrieval on demand.

  • A paperless solution is realised as each document is stored in a secure, encrypted PDF file on your server.
  • Simple retrieval of any document image with details of how and when it was sent.
  • Email to reduce overheads for long invoice or statement runs to eliminate folding, envelopes and postage.

Reporting and Analytics

Abaca includes a comprehensive suite of operational and management reports for packaging manufacturers. Each is delivered directly to your screen either as a pdf file or as an Excel spread sheet. You can then view, print. save or email giving you all the output options you might need.

  • Reports can be filed electronically as encrypted PDF files, saving on paper and storage. Microsoft Excel format is also available.
  • Print or distribute by e-mail selected sections of very long reports.
  • Standardized report formats for easy readability.
  • Sales colleagues can connect remotely to produce reports in preparation for client meetings.

Scheduling

Our visual planning board enables the scheduler to have a clear view of the whole production plan across all machines. Different scheduling algorithms enable you to select the scheduling method best suited to your plant after which individual jobs can be moved around and even across machines with all of their related stages moving in harmony.

For management on the move, Portal 3000 allows instant access to company financials, sales performance, production statistics wherever and whenever needed. Accessible via internet browser or mobile phone app, your key business metrics will be accessible whenever you want them.
  • Bar Coding Upgrade: RF 3000 provides bar-coded stock control without wires for maximum stock accuracy. Upgrade your Packaging 3000 stock control system by adding RF devices to bring material into stock, move goods around warehouses, and load vehicles. Stock taking can be done on a rotational basis and a stock check is as simple as scan and go.

What packaging types does Abaca support?

Abaca serves corrugated (integrated plants, sheet plants, and sheet feeders), paper-related products (paper sacks, carton board, spiral wound tubes, drums, and paper slitting/sheeting), and distribution and maintenance operations. The core Packaging 3000 system is configured per operation type.

Is Abaca primarily for UK and European packaging manufacturers?

Abaca's origin and strongest install base is UK and European packaging converters, and the product is built to HMRC Make Tax Digital requirements. It is deployed globally for similar operations — particularly corrugated and paper-related converters outside the UK. Contact Advantive to discuss region-specific configuration.

How does the Portal 3000 customer portal work?

Portal 3000 is a multi-device web and mobile app that gives customers, sales reps, and management direct access to the Abaca system 24/7. Reps can view sales figures and customer account data on the move; customers can track orders and access documents; management can access company financials and production statistics from any device.

What is RF3000 and do we need it?

RF3000 is the bar-coded stock-control upgrade for Packaging 3000. It adds wireless RF devices for receiving materials into stock, moving goods around warehouses, and loading vehicles. Stock-taking becomes scan-and-go. It is an optional add-on — Packaging 3000 runs without RF3000 for operations not requiring plant-floor barcoding.

Is implementation handled by Advantive or by a partner?

Advantive provides direct implementation services for all brands. A named implementation lead is assigned at kickoff and stays with the project through go-live. Partner-led implementations are available for select brands when a customer prefers an existing systems integrator.

How does this product connect to Advantive ONE?

Advantive ONE extends each brand with cross-system intelligence — surfacing patterns across your ERP, MES, quality, and warehouse data. It runs as a layer on top of your product, not a replacement. Customers on a current support contract are eligible.

What does the support contract include?

Standard support covers software updates, the customer portal (knowledge base + ticketing), and the Advantive support team during business hours in your region. Premium tiers add dedicated customer success, extended SLA coverage, and 24/7 critical-incident response.
